I like to inspect objects from close-up. Once an object draws my attention, maybe through color or form, the magnified view I paint forces it to fit into a specific space. The objects overlap or seem to flow from each other. I create the feeling of depth by building upon certain areas of the canvas.

Sculptures

The fluidity of the human form and the dynamic effects of texture dominate my sculptures. These two elements, form and texture, come together to create a particular feeling or mood within each piece.

Simplicity of form is always in the back of my mind.
